Dear Friends,
I am concerned that our troops serving overseas may have been forgotten about. Any news regarding the war is not the big news anymore.
With this in mind, I have started:
OPERATION TALK TO A TROOP
I would like to have all of my friends (and their friends) write letters to the troops.
We need to let them know that we have not forgotten about them. The letters will show that we appreciate all of the hard work they are doing and the sacrifice they are making. Because we thank them for letting us play sports and doing the things we like. We can mention that we are grateful to them that we can sleep at night and know our future is safe.
If you would like to bring a smile to the face of a soldier serving in the war, please write them a letter. Let them know your name, age, grade, and a thank you for all of their hard work. Please make sure that your letters are happy and do not mention death, dying or injuries. If you would like to include anything else I'm sure they would like to hear about it. It is OK if you cannot write, I'm sure they would like a picture that you drew.
Since October 2006 I have collected and sent just over 2300 letters to our Troops overseas. Please take a few minutes to help me with this effort.
For anyone who does not know me, I am 11 years old and in fifth grade at Woodland Intermediate West in Gurnee Illinois.
Please send your letters to:

I want to thank all of you for helping to support our troops!
Jason
