McKie's Troops

On Sunday, September 20, the Jason McKie Foundation and the Chicago Bears will salute Captain Arthur Rutnarak prior to kickoff. Captain Arthur Rutnarak was deployed with 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from April 29, 2008 to April 17th, 2009. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He was previously assigned to Fires Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division in the Republic of Korea from September 2005 to November 2007 and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. Prior to that, he deployed with Headquarters Company, 10th Mountain Division to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from December 2003 to April 2004 and received the Joint Service Commendation Medal.

Through "McKie's Troops", the Jason McKie Foundation of the Institute for Science and Health will honor one deserving member of the military on the field at Soldier Field prior to kickoff of each Bears' home game. McKie donates four tickets for military to each home game.
